According to the Central Bank of Russia, floating-rate mortgages made up 70-80% of new loans from early 2000s to 2020. By 2021, they made up 55-60%. Now with mortgage rates at 28% & top developers going bankrupt, Russians are facing skyrocketing payments, as the housing market is on the brink.
