Well, this is it. After two-and-a-half years of work, conducting interviews, playing so many games, and then writing it all up into something legible.

Kirby Air Riders is bloody brilliant fun (I'm as shocked as you are).

Here's my review:
Kirby Air Riders review – a chaotic kart racer that dares to be different
Nintendo Switch 2 gets an appropriately off-kilter kart racer that serves as the anti-Mario Kart, further leaning into its own hectic ideas.

One of the best pre-titles sequences in games, even to this day!
It is a good life we lead...

The AI bubble may be about to bust.

Peter Thiel has sold all of his Nvidia stock.

We all need to say this very clearly:

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3

SpongeBob: Titans of the Tide looks and plays like an extended TV episode. It's just a shame there's not more of it.

My review:
SpongeBob SquarePants Titans of the Tide review – could’ve been more magical
The latest SpongeBob 3D platformer from developer Purple Lamp looks and plays like an extended TV episode. It's just a shame there's not more of it.

My beloved Hitman: Absolution launched on Switch earlier this week.

Replaying it now only reinforces IOI's penchant for a more cinematic take on stealth action, well before 007: First Light.
Hitman Absolution is not your typical Hitman game – and that is why I love it
13 years later from when it first released, the Nintendo Switch version of Hitman: Absolution further proves the kind of cinematic spy storytelling IO Interactive is capable of.

Forgot to mention but I was in Paris earlier this week, and seeing an almost fully restored Notre Dame was wonderful!

Didn't quite manage a Leap of Faith, though.

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

I'm so tired of study after study that shows clear economic growth and stability for everyone (UBI, 4 day work week, universal healthcare, etc) but because the richest people in the country get rich faster without them, we all just suffer instead.

And this over the top of already obscene wealth...

While perhaps not as revolutionary as Tetris Effect before it, Lumines Arise is still an exquisitely made puzzler.

My review:

sort of incredible to read a review that doesn't just made a vague nod at AI being bad, but actively reckons with the ways in which falling obsessively to AI usage actively obliterates the artistic intent and integrity of the work you've made.
