Feed aliases would be super helpful! @bsky.app
I love using emojis for my lists, but long feed names take up too much space, especially in the horizontal slicer or vertical sidebar. A way to rename or shorten them (with custom aliases or emojis) would make browsing way smoother. 🙌

Is the modular monolith the best of both worlds—monoliths and microservices—or the worst? Been experimenting lately, and I’ve got mixed feelings… but I do appreciate the mindset behind it.

Blue checks feel meaningless. Verified affiliations? Now that’s value.

SQL is a great language. If you have a problem with sending a complex query, wrap it in a SP and call it a day. NO NEW STANDARD IS NEEDED

The blue check will turn into a credibility circus. It will start as a useful tool within the consumer-producer model of social media—but over time, it will be gamified and eventually lose its intended purpose.

Right now there are a lot of new eyes on Signal, and not all of them are familiar with secure messaging and its nuances. Which means there’s misinfo flying around that might drive people away from Signal and private communications. 1/

Glad with the experience of AI-assisted alt-text. Certainly, there are some features that need to be incorporated into the Bluesky app, perhaps with a subscription or by providing your own API key
You may have noticed that the thread authoring experience on Bluesky isn't the best.
You may have further noticed that manually adding alt-text is annoying.

If everything that is in the bsky main bar is also in the sidebar. There should be an option to change what is in the main bar. I would like to put the list icon and hide the chat or notification icons
