For every comedian that criticizes the election on national tv, there are thousands of others with YouTube accounts. With TikTok accounts. With Instagram accounts. You can’t silence the people. And comics will absolutely circle the wagon and fight back. It’s gonna be hilarious.

South Park is being targeted too though. The administration is playing whackamole and not realizing that squashing dissent only means that more comes.

None of these guys need their corporate overlords. They can move on to more successful things in their own right. They just playing capitalism with their mergers and stock prices breaking the firewall between business and editorial

Colbert isn’t going out on his own terms. Paramount just didn’t pull a Disney and suspend him. He’s still got a year. If Paramount were wise, they’d extend his contract now that the Kimmel thing is done. Strength in numbers. You don’t want to be the broadcaster that took the knee.

Colbert isn’t going out on his own terms. Paramount just didn’t pull a Disney and suspend him. He’s still got a year. If Paramount were wise, they’d extend his contract now that the Kimmel thing is done. Strength in numbers. You don’t want to be the broadcaster that took the knee.
In certain that this was very strongly negotiated with Disney that he will not be micromanaged inside the law. That would be his condition to return. He doesn’t need Disney. Disney needs him.

Comedy is a free for all. Just do it well. There is no genuflecting to people who don’t like the content. They don’t have to watch. I’m the artist. Jimmy is the artist. You can get on stage and try too, but I’m not pulling punches because you’re offended. Fuck you, thin skins
