Just published our first (open access!) paper from our research with LGBTQ+ young people who have used enabling programs to get into uni. We looked at how class and rurality combined with homophobia and transphobia to create uniquely complicated educational pathways for them 🌈🎓 #EduSky

This has significant consequences for sex education and inclusive education. Rhetoric like this combined with a lack of specific teacher training and vague "controversial issues" policies primes teachers to see LGBTQ+ wellbeing as a risky 'political' issue. 🌈🎓
