Someone I worked with kept using the phrase "if wishes were roses."

I knew they meant "if you could have whatever you wanted..." but
didnt get what the metaphor was.

Eventually someone looked it up. Turns out they had misheard the line "if wishes were horses beggars would ride."

I loved the atmosphere in the first one, the music and environmental design is fantastic
