Checking on the birds when it’s cold like that is soooo hard.

Come spring, we’ll have to be super careful on if, or when, we let them out. It’s a gamble and I don’t think I’m willing to let them out, even though it kills me. By then, they’re gonna want out sooooo bad and it makes me sad to not let them do what chickens do… hunt and peck around.

The girls are doing good. One of my bantams (small bird) is sneezing (not serious or bird flu) so I brought her into the Weaver Chicken Hospital to give her tonics and remedies. With all the snow we’ve had, they haven’t been out of their run, so they’ve been protected from the bird flu.

I’m loving all the snow, especially with today’s temperature and no wind.

He has sooooo much personality.

I’ve had a lot of dogs in my life, he’s the most smart dog, ever! Plus snuggly and adorable.
