I thought Dusty was fixed, but here she is, proud Mama of 2 tiny boys.

Newborn kitten, 3 days old, held gently in my son's hands. He's tiny and gray with pink toes and itty bitty ears. Yes, Mama Dusty gave us permission to hold her babies while she purred proudly. This baby, however, protested with a loud cry right after this picture was taken and was promptly placed back against his Mama's belly. Tiny black kitten, 3 days old, held gently in my son's hands. He also has pink toes and itty bitty ears. This one is quieter than his brother and didn't cry at all.

Daisy taught herself how to throw tennis balls! She's loving that her tennis ball is now a frozen snowball!

I live with cPTSD.
It sucks...
But not every day.

Recovery is hard,
But it is possible.
There is hope.

I just had someone yell at me for sharing my recovery story.
It hurt.
But it won't stop me.

I am living proof that there can be life, love, and joy after trauma.

I don't think Daisy understands that the spray bottle was supposed to be a disciplinary tool.

I love reading children's books. I've written a couple so far and plan to write a few more, but my co-author crossed the rainbow bridge last year and it's going to take me a bit longer to grieve before I can begin again. In the meantime, working on a fantasy novel.
