I have metastatic lung cancer & cuts are also causing chaos & delays for TIL (tumor infiltrating lymphocytes, an extremely promising immunotherapy that my dr has been talking about since my dx 3 years ago) clinical trial patients. Most clinical trial pts are out of options & time.

Every House Republican but one voted to gut the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP). Every GOP Senator voted to cut the CDMRP by 57% too. When it came time to allocate those cuts, they decided that lung cancer research should go from $25m in 2024 to 0 in 2025. Are we great yet?
