Whatever onion you use will be fine, really. I prefer red onions from Calabria cause they're sweeter, but it's actually a small amount, so it doesn't really matter which one you use

Awww that's so sweet of you. I know it might seem like a complicated recipe, but it's really really easy once you try. You'll do great. Let it cook until you can take it with a fork, it mustn't be watery at all

Oh if you like you can add some basil leaves and let it all cook together. The original tomato "salsa" requires them

I'm Italian😅first you cut onions and garlic into very small pieces and you sort of fry them in a large amount of olive oil.Then you add the "tomato sauce",the original one.You put salt,at your taste. If it's a little acidic you can either add a little sugar or milk.Let it cook for a couple of hours.
