I received training on the spotlight of our vessel tonight while the men did docking practice. It's "easy and good practice" for me but "try not to hit those screens in front of you (the engine controls)."

We live in an old building and the bathroom door never wants to stay closed so it's not unusual. It was just poorly timed while I'm reading about local mysteries and deaths on the toilet.

But a summer of data entry, fluke IDs, weekly surveys, and no ecotours sounds like heaven. And it'd be under biologists I really respect and look up to.

If I don't get it this year, I know it's because I lack GIS experience so I guess I need to start looking into classes, which I'm not looking forward to.

Too bad I'm sick af right now and can't go chase photos on my days off. 🫠
