Got to see my favorite Queen @flamygrant last week in St. Paul! As a queer Christian, words cannot describe how much her music and her presence mean to me! I love you Queen💜

We were taught Jesus loved the least of these. Now we watch pastors bless politicians who mock the poor and deport the vulnerable. And we mourn what American Christianity has become.

My son just let for his first shift on the line at a busy restaurant! As a Chef, the amount of pride I feel in seeing him in a chefs coat is overwhelming! As a parent, I wish he had chosen a career that doesn’t destroy your body while paying you nearly nothing.💜

I have *been saying* that the attacks on trans rights are not an excuse for these people. For the fascist Christian Nationalist base, these attacks—and attacks on immigrants—are the whole point. Other things are an excuse or opportunity for them to erode trans rights.

None of the 82 bills proposed Monday, the first filing day of the forthcoming special session, were actually flood-related, according to KXAN-TV, NBC’s Austin affiliate.

The Bible has been weaponized against women, Black people, and now LGBTQ+ folks. But the Spirit has always moved beyond those boundaries. You’re allowed to rethink what you were taught. That’s not rebellion—it’s faithfulness.

I’m enjoying the Minnesota right of passage that is,watching Purple Rain for the first time, with my kid and all he says is that it’s, “confusing and problematic”, and honestly he’s right.

Please just ignore anything related to the new Harry Potter show. Do not give it your time or attention. If you see something about it, remember that part of every dollar it earns is used to hurt real trans people.

You’re not “abandoning the Bible” by being affirming. You’re actually taking it seriously—by centering love, justice, and the lived experiences of real people. Jesus never asked you to choose between your faith and loving your queer neighbor.

I’ve recently started seeing MAGA creators on Etsy making stickers and shirts that say, “don’t sit at tables Jesus would’ve flipped”. As they attend mega churches with gift shops and for profit cafes. The Biblical illiteracy in these people is confounding!

I flip flop between social media anxiety and feeling the need to be more outspoken as a joyful trans Christian.

The opening story in this collection, “Infect Your Friends And Loved Ones”, by Torrey Petters, should be required reading for all trans femmes.

Father Lizzie’s devotional, “God Didn’t Make Us To Hate Us”, has been such a rock for me through the last few months. I’m really sad that I’m nearing the end of it!
Loving and being loved by Christ sets us free from the endless loop of a charming and entrapping violence that corrodes every thought, peace, and dream.
