Utterly exhausting. Every character is a stereotype with zero substance. It was painful to read and eventually I just forced myself to get it over with. They run through the motions, there’s no one you care about, the mystery sucks. Zejdź mi z oczu.

Look I love Bianca Del Rio, but I'm starting to think anything that is scripted over improv for BDL just never works out. (Hurricane Bianca for one). I read a book by Willam and RuPaul this year too, and this was what put me out of that nostalgic RPDR phase.

This is just a reflection of personal interests, but being as obsessed with scambaiters as grey hat hacking but for prank calls, this was a delight. Some things are poorly aged, even mean, but scammers getting their just desserts is always satisfying.

Books of established settings/franchises are almost always boring, so with L5R being almost completely irrelevant, this had no expectations to live up to. But, goddamn, Sherlock Holmes but in fantasy feudal Japan… now I wish the series WAS still relevant.
