Grueling semester so far but I’ve picked up a new hobby: Sandwich bag.

All the projects feature Vernier probes & have gone through lit searches, peer-reviews, safety planning, & navigation collaboration. A first dip into the research process for many of these students.

We’re taking 142 students through 39 unique investigations over 4 busy laboratory sessions.

~30 glass containers of early synthetic dyes wi th hand-written labels, some containing chemical formulas: orange red, benzoazurine, yellow corallin, Sudan2, safranine, fast redA, chrysoidin, etc… the colors are orange, red, blue, gray, and some contents appear powdered while others are rock-like.
