For the past years I've been told over and over by gun nuts that they NEED them in case the government is trying to fuck over citizens

Where the fuck are they now?

Many of them voted for this bullshit, so never ever use that bullshit excuse again please

I don't buy it

Hey Jared, using the cute little bird logo doesn't change the fact that you're on the Nazi site. (He'll never see this though because he refuses to support Mastodon.)

There is *no* functioning Dem leadership at this point. Jeffries and Schumer need to go NOW if our nation is to have any chance.

George seems to like them as well. He usually spends the early evening in the catio before finally retiring indoors at night.

While putting the Christmas lights away I came across these LED strip lights and thought they’d be perfect for making the back entrance more visible. I like how they look and certainly a lot safer.

The computer museum in my garage has a new entry. Sadly, my mid-2010 iMac 27" had a hard disk failure. I was keeping this one alive to run Photoshop and Quickbooks, because I refuse to move to subscription software when these old versions do everything I need. It […]

Just got back from another beautiful, peaceful protest in Eureka. Thanks to the Magat driver of the coal burning 4x4 who thought he'd show us how manly he was by doing a burnout and filling the intersection with black smoke. Right in front of a Eureka Police car that he didn't notice. Hope he […]

Always thought they didn't like the "Black" but it turns out they also don't like the "lives matter" part either.

This is George doing what he does best, taking an afternoon nap out in the yard. This is one of his favored spots, a bench I made from a couple of the old pillars from Fernbridge. When I put them there in 2017, they were about 15 feet from the creek. They are now […]

The last couple of days crews from Frontier have been doing prep work installing fiber optic lines. Can't wait to have real competition to Optimum for internet. We'll be switching as soon as it's available because it has to be cheaper than Optimum's $90/m just for internet.

Jared Huffman, I've been bugging you for years to get off that platform. And I can't even send you this cartoon, because you're not on Mastodon.

It's so cold this morning Lori has the cat heater turned up to 2. Mr. Bing and George have been sharing her lap quite frequently lately. You know it's cold outside when George prefers to be inside.

Have come across songsterr.com? That's been our main learning tool. Very helpful as it syncs tablature to the actual recording, and you can also play it to a sythesized track adding or deleting what parts you need. Best of all is a looping feature where you can select a certain number of […]

My wife and are learning Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers with her on bass and me on guitar. We have those two parts congealing so my next job is to learn the lyrics. I started making fun of all the "I know, I know" bits, sounding rather berated, and decided to just go ahead and write a full […]

Another Christmas light innovation that I came up with a couple of years ago but used for the first time this year is my custom designed 3D printed picket bracket.

Our front fence has 365 pickets and we used to use zip ties to fasten each light. Now I just use […]

Time to take the lights down, at least the ones I can get to without putting the waders on. The rest will have to wait until it dries out a bit. Came up with a new idea for storing the lights that I thought I'd share.

For years, I've used a garbage can to store […]

This month our phones were paid off, so that meant we could leave T-Mobile which I've wanted to do because they lied about our $70 lifetime rate, and they paid a bribe to Trump.

There aren't any great options for 1st tier carriers. AT&T bribed him the first term, Verizon bribed him this term […]

Just heard Nielsen’s is closing their Ferndale location. Not surprising. They been caught in a no inventory/ no reason to shop there loop for a long time. Almost always had to run to Ace in Fortuna anyway so this will save a step. But one wonders if tariffs were the final death blow.
