I was gonna make a joke about smelling like a sumo, but it was actually a nice scent.

The Toyota Museum in Nagoya #japan is dedicated to the company’s historical origins in Japanese textiles and how the founder got into building cars as a side gig.

Stopped for dinner at a place we keep walking by everyday between our hotel and the train station. We could see through the windows and wanted to try. I’ve never even heard of monjayaki until tonight, but we got a full lesson and a delicious meal.

Oh sure you say this isn’t a real fish, but my wife caught herself a chocolate filled magikarp pokemon in the middle of tokyo and it made her day.

We checked out the teamlab borderless exhibit in tokyo on Saturday evening. It was a perceptual kaleidoscope and i’m still literally a little dizzy the next morning. Wow!

Of course when you travel you hit up the local #parkrun … I was told that 二子玉川parkrun in Tokyo was the first park run in Japan? Maybe that’s true, I don’t know… but I know they are a friendly bunch and it was a great time this morning!

The view from the observatory at the the Tokyo Metropolitan Building was entertaining and enlightening. I don’t think I really appreciated the size of this city until I saw it from above.

Its 4:22 am in Tokyo and my body thinks it lunchtime. I’m not a sleep-in kinda guy… which is another way of saying my body clock does what my body clock wanna do… which right now is tossing and turning in a dark hotel room (…or y’know playing on my phone cuz i can’t sleep anymore)

The Shibuya scramble crossing in Tokyo was of course a bit of a tourist mecca with most everyone crossing for the sake of saying they did, not to actually get anywhere.

Theory tested and proven, the sushi at 7 Eleven in Tokyo is clearly & subjectively as good or better than almost anything I can get back home, and at a fraction of the price. Surprised? No… but I just need to do a bit more research I think. What flavour should I research next?

I have accumulated a lot of videos on my youtube channel, not with the intention of creating anything but a collection for myself & to share interesting travel and adventure scenes. I’m not clambering for subscribers or trying to earn income… just sharing.

Besides Park Run (which I know it is contentious to call it a race!) I have not actually run a race in over a year.

I picked up my race bib for the Fall Classic 10 miler for tomorrow morning.

Activating race nerves now.

I know there are far cheaper solutions, but a sticky E key on my laptop has led me down the rabbit hole of deciding to buy a whole new computer today. Also. It is overdue.

But the point being that it’s so tough to be a writer without the letter E that things sort of spiralled from there.
