Making sure our screams to the void during the Autumn of Democracy contain at least 75% Canadian content by volume

Loyal we began, loyal we remain
As late as it is to write my congratulations to Mark Carney and the liberals for pulling the come back of the century. I would like to thank and draw attention to the Quebecois voters who chose nation over province and carried the liberals to victory.

The Catholic Church has a complicated history in Canada but I can respect anyone who is trying to repair that relationship between the church and the secular world. I hope that whoever replaces him carries on his work.

We finally found the one person with institutional power willing to at least act like they can do something about Trump. #corybooker
Breaking news: Sen. Cory Booker (D-New Jersey) broke a record Tuesday night for the longest U.S. Senate floor speech of the modern era, surpassing Sen. Strom Thurmond’s 1957 remarks inside the chamber that lasted 24 hours.
Cory Booker breaks modern record for longest speech from Senate floor
The New Jersey Democrat is speaking in protest of the Trump administration’s policies. His record-breaking speech is not delaying the Senate from a vote, so it is not a filibuster.

Today's black history month figure is Richard Pierpont, born in Senegal, brought to America as a slave he fought for the British and won his freedom during the American Revolution. He relocated to Canada
When war came again in 1812 he re-enlisted in the army despite being in his 60's.

I meant to post more for Black History month but time got away from me. Y'all should still know about Dr. Stephen Blizzard an RCAF pilot, veterinarian and later Doctor from Trinidad who graced Canada with his brilliance and the baddest fucking name pilot's name since top gun #blackhistorymonth

Here is your daily reminder that Elon Musk, the man using the world's largest fortune to kick away the ladder he used to climb to the top, only avoided conscription and being killed in Namibia because his birthright citizenship through his mom allowed him to come to Canada.
