I think in the case of UIUC, they are paying off debt from upgrading facilities. Last I saw it was over $300 million

I doubt this money will go to MinCYT or CONICET, which has been devastated by Milei’s government. In some sense, Argentina was the beta test for Project 2025.

Don’t worry- he cut similar grants for Baltimore, Chicago, Beaumont-Port Arthur, and Phoenix from DOE. When they get flooded it will be a similar story. $100M cut to beneoft people’s lives with climate solutions. ess.science.energy.gov/urban-ifls/
