That attempt at a cumulative sentence in the middle (which fails due to punctuation errors) is pretty danged awful.

And yes, banal. “Bright college sophomore in a discipline that is definitely not English” banal.

That really was the pivot point.

I wonder if Kubrick put it in his head to be more one-dimensional.

Maybe it was the high # of takes, which was probably frustrating for someone like Nicholson?

This @theonion.com headline is right up there for me, but of course there are so many others.

And I’ll never forget the cathartic feeling of reading the post-Sept. 11th paper, @ home in Windsor Terrace. It was just the greatest Good Deed. If it’s not to late to thank all involved, then thank you.

I have been having a similar experience (including the Flowers for Algernon part) and I wondered if it may be a manufacturing issue. For the last several months I've been worried that I finally may be cracking up.
