Music of the magnetosphere. Stress-energy tensors in the global music plasma, revealed.

I make archival boxes and slipcases for comics, books, and LPs.

What is going on above the door? It’s oddly specific in its design. Does it mean something?

This @theonion.com headline is right up there for me, but of course there are so many others.

And I’ll never forget the cathartic feeling of reading the post-Sept. 11th paper, @ home in Windsor Terrace. It was just the greatest Good Deed. If it’s not to late to thank all involved, then thank you.

Still two of the greatest @theonion.com headlines ever, imo. It’s genuinely unsettling how often I think of these two.

I definitely think of the CD-R one more. My stack just turned 15.

If we’re talking about the forthcoming one, I think you really need to allow four haikus, one for each volume.

You’ve inherited a movie theater. What’s your first double feature?

Merentau (2009) followed by Midsommar (2019).

Unlike, and yet alike. Also works if the theater is a drive-in.

Literally bulldozing the country’s heritage.

Metaphorically too, of course, but you don’t often get to use “literally” the ways it’s literally always being used these days.

What's the worst opening line you've ever gotten from a door-to-door cold knocker/solicitor?

Mine's easy: "Hi, my name is—oh wow, I have that same t-shirt!"

My response: "Really? What's your favorite release?" [waits 5 seconds, possibly more] "Didn't think so." [closes and locks door]

The shirt:

Instinctively typed Peter Sellars, which would be a different kind of slapstick comedy entirely....

Still waiting for a world leader with enough of a sense of humor to do a Peter Sellers / Inspector Clouseau "Put Your Weight on Something and Have It Break" move with the ridiculous gold-spray-painted styrofoam in the Oval Office.

I dropped the price on this to a full $10 below the price for the official edition.

This slipcase is far sturdier, and you are buying 1 New and 1 Near Mint book (both first printings, I think). Help me out by buying this before August 1st (healthcare payment day). I also sell poetry and art books!

Reposting this with a further reduced price - - or, if you like poetry, please check out the rare New York School poetry I'm selling. See screenshot below - -

Please, folks - - looking to make my healthcare exchange payment tomorrow and not overdraw our family account!

Visited family this weekend in the hometown of myself and @gregpak.net, so I did not get a chance to make a comics shoulder box, but upon arriving home I did make a quick slipcase for some books I’ve had since high school.

Thank you to all new followers! I didn’t make anything last night, but here are a couple of the slipcases I made for books last fall. These were my 3rd, 4th, and 6th cases. Sold the @colsonwhitehead.com, but still have the others.

Hi @dragonslairllc.bsky.social — I’m a customer at the Austin store and I make luxe storage boxes for comics. I came by today to show my bespoke, title-specific boxes, but I also make generic ones. Let me know if you might be interested in having them at the store! Thanks—

I’ve been so buoyed by the response to my boxes and slipcases that I challenged myself to make something in one evening. The result is a slipcased set of Emil Ferris’ My Favorite Thing Is Monsters that I’ll be posting on eBay today. Thanks for your interest, everyone! 1/2…
