I don't like Starbucks coffee, but I fully support their workers.

Corporate greed needs to be reined in. ✊

People in the service industry deserve a livable wage. Their job is no less than anybody else's. These corporations are making billions of dollars and they can easily pay their employees better than they do.

So, because they're not looking for a career (which by the way, many baristas are,) they don't deserve a fair wage?

if someone is not being paid a fair wage, they're being exploited. it's practically the definition.

You sure you think unions are good? kinda sounding like a corpo.

yeah. no.

Nothing you just said justifies exploitation just because "hey, this job is for highschoolers!"

nothing you say will justify exploitation. you're just making yourself look like that psychotic manager we all had and hated.

employees should be paid a fair wage for the work they do.

Doesn't matter if they feel if they're being exploited or not.

people should be paid a fair wage for the work they do. fullstop.

Inexperienced and easily exploited workers are frequently targets for cheap labor. that doesn't make it right.

Maybe ask the students working there if they feel exploited. Um. Yes.

Uhm. No.

It was meant to be cheap labor to be exploited for profit.

Exploiting highschool kids is still exploitation. They should be paid a fair wage, no matter where they’re are in life.

Corporations hate Unions because then they have to listen to the people who make them money.
Unions made America great. Remember that.

It’s about time.
Years ago, Starbucks treated my youngest daughter like a disposable commodity, cheated her on her paycheck, and fired her without cause.

Anyway, my Wife makes better coffee at home, and for a lot less.

Just waiting for someone to say this is discrimination against the rich. Deny a person the last $8 they had for coffee? Wow, that's cold.
It's time these workers got some of the take. My Grandfather was a AFL-CIO organizer. You work hard, you deserve to live better. Don't back down.
