Great photo, Eliot. I was a Naropa workstudy that summer in Publicity and helped Sue Seecof set up a press conference with David Hockney. I don’t think I got to see MF but that’s great to hear!

The NYT obit was so good. I learned many things I hadn’t known about her rich life. Did she ever come to Naropa’s summer writing program?

She refinished many tables (dining room table, side boards, dressers) and some chairs. The chemicals were awful and it was very messy work but she could do it in our barn. The before and after was always magical to see! We live in Pennsylvania and there were many auctions and estate sales.
