Although this book should have scorecards from a variety of teams and years, I would have to include one of my scorecards I did for Chicago Magazine in 2016. Perhaps game 5. www.57hits.com/game-5-score...

One of the scorecards would be Pat Hughes' game 7 from the 2016 World Series baseballvoices.com/scorecards/

It's even stranger shopping on Kohl's website and coming across this Chicago Cubs Cody Bellinger pillow. www.kohls.com/product/prd-...

I found my 135th MLB player who signs with Bible verses.

Will Ohman played 2000-2001, 2005-2012. Five seasons for the Cubs. He signs exclusively with Colossians 3:17.

Wow. If you look at the 20 top clutch relief pitching performances in World Series history… two of them happened last night.

#6 all-time: Toronto’s Eric Lauer 12th to 16th inning

#16 all-time: LA’s Will Klein 15th to 18th inning

It feels weird to pull a Cody Bellinger Cubs card from the Topps Bunt iOS app

My 6-year-old and 9-year-old daughters are using my Cubs W flag from the 2025 Wild Card Series as a blanket for their dolls.

Yesterday was the 10-year anniversary of the Chicago Cubs clinching the NLDS over the Cardinals on October 13, 2015. First postseason clinch ever at Wrigley Field.

Here's a video of the last out. Héctor Rondón strikes out Stephen Piscotty.

That Ian Happ home run was truly a moonshot.

Today, this 1908 litho by Frank Brangwyn came up in #ArtTab. I like the volume Brangwyn generates. www.artic.edu/artworks/428...

I’m doing my first crossover multi-scorecard drawing. These are games 1 and 2 of the Wild-Card series. Featured are the back-to-back home runs by Seiya and Carson Kelly from game 1.

I'm pretty pleased with how Seiya turned out. Now onto drawing Swanson and Nico making defensive gems for game 2.

It looks really weird when mascots wear pants.

Before game 1 of the Wild Card Series, Kyle Tucker wore a Michael Jordan 3-peat tshirt to Wrigley.

You can buy the same tshirt for $21.99

My view from Wrigley Field yesterday in the second game of the Wild Card Series. Chicago Cubs vs. San Diego Padres.

Wow, taking public transit to a Cubs game got me 16,789 steps. (and also a good portion from walking the ramps to Wrigley Field's upper deck)

I really love the photos from the 1988 Score baseball set.

On a whim, I googled: 1988 Score photo editor
I was hoping to find the editor who selected the photos. But alas, I didn't find the person.

If anyone knows who the photo editor(s) was for the 1988 Score baseball set, please let me know.

My dollar store sells $1.25 packs of 2025 Donruss baseball cards. Only five cards in a pack, but my pack had some good names.

I still can’t get over not seeing team logos on their hats and jerseys.

His career fWAR as a Cub is -2.8
September 19, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Based on lowest career WAR, this is the worst Cub ever. Eddie Miksis played with the Cubs 1951-1957. I recently bought this 1954 Bowman to honor his achievement.

I've been pulling baseball stats daily via R with baseballr from FanGraphs.

Every few days, I get “Request failed [403].” My code stays the same, I get the 403, then the same code works later.

Does FanGraphs' API server go down that often?

Joey Votto is still a real option to pick in Beat the Streak. I was searching for Otto Lopez, and Joey Votto came up as an option.

Good to see Joey Votto's name appear again. For Games with a Hit:
- 11th in 2016
- 6th in 2013
- 15th in 2011
Great hitter, but just walked way too much for BTS.

Topps Now made a card for Anthony Rizzo returning as a Cub ambassador.

However, imagine if Topps chose a photo of him in the bleachers.

One of the cheapest Cubs Topps Now cards on eBay right now is Kris Bryant’s “fastest in Cubs history to 100 HR” card in 2018. $1.95, free shipping.

Ah, the memories. Ah, the potential. Tempting to get, but I'll save the two bucks.
