A terrible tragedy for the cat rescue community today. Happy Cat Sanctuary, a rescue & permanent shelter for feral & ‘unadoptable’ cats, burned to the ground, taking the lives of over 100 cats so far & the founder, Chris, who died trying to save them.

Ten years ago I was dumped in a ditch w/my siblings. Rescuers from the SPCA of NoVA found us & helped us find our forever homes. On this day in 2015, my cat dad presented me to momma as “the best Valentine’s Day present ever.” He wasn’t wrong. Today, it’s time to give back to other rescuers.
