Cake anyone?
A one quarter eaten Victoria sponge cake rests upon a white plate with a white handled, vintage cake knife in front. The right hand side of the lower tier is somewhat lopsided, but the man who assembled the cake cleverly put the upper tier (also lopsided) on in such a way as to make the cake appear symmetrical. Well, it did before he carved out a couple of slices..

Tried this. Do it.

I couldn't help but put some ground fennel in when I saw the orange in my usual red pepper, paprika, chorizo & tomato sauce. Deglazed the chops pan with PX vinegar & butter.
The orange & fennel is particularly good with this £8.50 M&S Rioja Reserva.

Two white china bowls of Linguine in Smoked Pancetta and Tomato Sauce sit upon a black granite slab. They have been dressed with parsley, Parmesan and green olive oil to look excessively pretty. Tasted really nice, fair play.
