I think I’m done processing that this in fact did happen. Feels good to be a Texas Fighting Aggie. 10-0 overall and 7-0 in SEC. Survive and advance. Aggies never quit.

Well there’s a chance of precip for NM this weekend with a small shot at heavy precip Nov 18-19. It’s been good to have a break but could use some wet around here. #NMwx

Hiked the Tres Volcanoes trail on the west mesa. Could see several storms. The development over the Sandia Mtns was fun. This storm became a severe storm on the east side. #NMwx

After the storms Friday evening - glad to get another 0.40” of rain #NMwx
September 21, 2025 at 4:28 AM
I know not much compares to what happened in the TX Hill Country when it comes to flooding. But the South Fork fire burnscar combined with the fact Ruidoso is located in a “bowl” makes for optimal runoff conditions for flash flooding. This was only from 2-3” of rain in 2 hours. #NMwx

Got more hail than rain… I’ll take it… #NMwx

2 weeks ago we had snow. Today thunderstorms. Peak #NMwx

And you can’t go wrong with a NM sunset…
May 3, 2025 at 10:36 PM
As of 12PM got 0.26” of liquid precip. Change over to snow the last 2-3 hrs. Probably 1/2” of snow but lots melting. And yes this is April 19 on the ABQ west mesa. More on the way. #nmwx

From NWS ABQ - ⚠️ HIGH FIRE DANGER TOMORROW⚠️

Widespread strong winds and low relative humidities will lead to critical and extreme fire weather conditions. Red Flag Warnings for the ENTIRE state of NM tomorrow afternoon. Strongest gusts will be along and east of the central mountains. #nmwx
April 17, 2025 at 1:59 AM
Fantastic to get all the snow but dang that April sun is making it melt really quick. GOES east visible satellite imagery. #NMwx
April 6, 2025 at 5:56 PM
I ended up with 0.18” of rain up on the west mesa of ABQ which matches my 2025 year to date total before. Rather have had 2” of snow. Here are snow report across NM via NWS ABQ #NMwx
April 6, 2025 at 1:02 AM
Check calendar. April.
From NWS ABQ: We know it's been warm and windy lately, but big changes are on the way tonight --> Saturday. It's not April 1st & we're not foolin'! Significant snowfall is on tap for the Northern Mtns and much of eastern NM! Most snow will fall btw 9pm tonight-6pm Sat. #nmwx

You think it has been windy in March so far in New Mexico? You are not imagining. And April and May are the windy months here. #NMwx
March 23, 2025 at 4:28 PM
Now for the good news perhaps. Monsoon season signal looking robust. We need this big time. #NMwx
March 20, 2025 at 11:26 PM
New Mexico this spring is already off to a rough start and probably not going to get better with a precip outlook like this. And April and May are climo windiest months. Water supply outlook is not going to improve either #NMwx

Just another day in paradise… more wind expected on Tuesday which means critical fire weather, blowing dust, wind damage to structures and power outages… from NWS ABQ #NMwx

Nothing to see here. Just a typical mid-March storm system coming across the US for the end of the week. #NMwx
March 11, 2025 at 3:13 AM
It’s looking like another high wind blowing dust don’t ignite any fire kinda day coming up on Friday. It will be interesting to see what happens to any fresh snowpack from this recent storm. #NMwx
March 10, 2025 at 2:46 AM
Just another brown day in ABQ. Normally we can see downtown, Sunport and Sandia Mtns in these pics. #NMwx
March 7, 2025 at 4:24 AM
Yes tomorrow will be another brown day with high winds and blowing dust. Travel will be tough in crosswinds and dust. Any kind of fire will exhibit extreme behavior. #NMwx
March 6, 2025 at 4:02 AM
The first extreme fire weather conditions of the season in early March. Not good folks. Just don’t burn anything, create a spark, or even shuffle your feel to create a static discharge (okay a bit dramatic there). Fire that do ignite will make large runs and spot downwind. #NMwx
March 2, 2025 at 8:19 PM
Spring fire weather season has commenced with some windy dry days ahead for NM. Don’t burn anything. #NMwx
