Damn that looks awesome, I’ve always loved ASCII art, I made one of my first projects about it

Yeah don’t worry I have a proper setup (TailsOS and sorts) for serious stuff, this is just more convenient whenever one just wants to do some Netflix or something like that

Hey Dax, I currently use the Github Copilot CLI beta, but have been meaning to switch to Opencode, I am a student therefore I have Github Copilot pro, I haven't been able to find clearly whether I can use it as a provider for Opencode in your docs, is that the case?

I use Claude Haiku 4.5 for almost everything I code with AI (only web dev work), it has a 0.33x in GitHub Copilot Pro (from the student program) so it’s insanely efficient compared to Opus 4.5 and usually smart enough

Thanks a lot! It’s built on Deno Fresh and cached everything on Deno Deploy CDN (I’m a big Deno fanboy)

(Anyone wondering what happened to Ko-fi, it was just a workaround and ngl I got mistaken for an artist instead of open source developer quite a lot, which is not bad, but neither I am an artist jajaja)

Lmao real, I came from Twitter (even though I post on both places) for 2026 in case you don't remember me from tpot

Awesome, I see you used Shiki, I’m planning to switch from highlight.js, and what do you use for the markdown? I use marked but I don’t even know if it’s an old alternative or not: 4ster.dev

A very likely scenario is that with AI destroying its own sources of knowledge and simultaneously a lot of the internet’s content being AI generated, the inbreeding in the training of new AIs could actually become the plateau or even degradation of their capabilities
This chart shows the total number of Stack Overflow questions asked each month. As you can see, AI summaries in Google and AI coding tools have nearly killed the site. It is only a matter of time before the site shuts down completely. The golden age of independent web is over.

Great, can’t wait to read it, as I didn’t get to experience these changes in the industry I like to understand why things are now the way they’re jajaja

Interesting, as a younger dev I always wondered what made Ruby fall off the popularity train and only remain sort of relevant on Rails, it really does seem like a very sensible language specially if you compare it to Python, but I do think it lacks scripting capabilities, Python’s std is unmatched

Imho it’s right now a really great language, only thing I still think is quite unacceptable is how slow CPython is, they need to pull some real breaking changes and drop whatever is making it so slow because the ecosystem and tools are awesome
Modern Python tooling and ecosystem, hatch, uv, ruff, ty, pytest, typer, soon pyx, and many more, genuinely have better DX and are a much better ecosystem overall than JavaScript’s or Rust’s (this last one is hardly comparable due to the different domains but you get the idea)
