About the Chinese ship names. OMG, that was horrible trying to make out what was what! The same ship can have 3 or 4 names, what a nightmare!😱
I went with Giles, as that's what was used in contemporary sources and in Conways.
Chih Yuan and Chi Yuan? WTAF?😭 And that was just the beginning.

A brilliant recruiting campaign plus an enlistment bonus from Mrs Teasdale definitely worked wonders!

Freedonia sent all of Sylvania's ships to the bottom with the loss of a single ship, Outsider, from a magazine explosion that damaged one enemy and one friendly ship nearby.
On paper it was a close match but poor dice rolling doomed Sylvania.
It was a very nice time!
