My fitted, flutter sleeve, cropped crochet sweater is done...except for blocking. It looks much better on a person than flat on a table. 🧶 #crochet

Day 6 5/31 I dumped the last layer on my hugel today. This layer was a mix of 3 45lb bags of topsoil, kitchen waste/compost, yard dirt and wood chips.

Day 5: 5/22 I mixed 2 big bags (28 liters) of cow manure with roughly equal mix of yard dirt, decomposed woodchips, and kitchen waste compost. I piled it on the hugel. After next rain, I’ll add the next layer: 3 bags of store bought topsoil mixed with yard/kitchen compost.

4/ Day4: Last night we had another good rain. It washed more dirt into the air pockets between the branches. I added more dirt, wood chips and compost, and another layer of branches. On top of that, I added more dirt and wood chips.

1/ Day one: I dug a trench about 6 to 8 inches deep. The hugel is on a slope. The top of the slope is a little deeper. The bottom of the slope is more shallow. I didn’t measure the initial trench, but the length of the finished hugel is 10.5 ft (about 3 meters) and the width is 5.3 ft (1.6 meters).

I don't like jeans with holes at the knee. I will put my foot through that hole every time! I made two patches and the flower was a touch too big. I made the square as small as I could to cover the rip. I want to do something with the flower patch, but I'm not sure what.
