According to this Guardian report the UK has, “quietly launched the four day week.”

Great!

Now it’s time to make things loud.

If we want a 4-day week for all, it needs to be codified in contracts, not done on the sly.

Benefitting from Soft Fridays? Time to make it official.

🚨NEW REPORT - The Evidence for a 4-Day School Week🚨

Teachers are burnt out and leaving the profession in droves.

The status quo isn’t working. It’s time to try something that might.

It’s time to trial a 4-day week in schools.

Congratulations to Kickstarter workers for securing their 4-day week! 🙌

This, in addition to winning protections against the use of AI to replace them, means these workers have successfully future-proofed their roles.

Question is: does your role need future-proofing too? 🤔

Good to see The Telegraph laying out their *ahem* 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦 alternative 🙄 to a 4-day week.

There is a sickness crisis - but luckily, we have a proven solution.

One that:

- Reduces absences
- Improves health
- Allows more to work full time

That’s the 4-day week.

If the Government is serious about tackling the crisis, they need to get serious about the 4-day week.

“The old system isn’t working, so we need to be open to new approaches, supported by evidence and realism.”

The 4-day week isn’t just an idea for the future - it’s already delivering results today.

It’s time for a 4-day week. ⏰

This is interesting!

We need more exploration of a shorter working week in education.

“Teachers reported improved wellbeing, more free time and financial savings, though some felt overwhelmed.

Meanwhile pupils were largely unaffected and some benefited.”

The four-day week is already working.

It’s time for the government to catch up.

Sometimes it seems like this government is actively seeking ways to be unpopular.

South Cambridgeshire’s 4-day week:

- Saves them £370,000 a year
- Improves productivity in key areas
- Boosts health and wellbeing of staff

And yet they seek to undermine it by leaking letters to the Telegraph.

Big day for the movement.

Today, for the first time, MPs, business leaders and Trade Unions (and us!) will come together to chart a path towards a shorter working week.

We’ve proved it works - now it’s time to make it happen.

The working week is long overdue an update - and it’s time to do something about it.

Imagine if an organisation supported the Living Wage but didn’t pay it.

They’d be called hypocritical.

And rightly so.

Same goes for the 4-day week.

If you support it, it’s time to live it.

It’s time for a 4-day week.

The Dutch have paid days off for childcare, period days as standard, and a 32-hour working week.

There’s a better way of working and the UK desperately needs to catch up.

It’s time to invest in families. It’s time to invest in our health.

It’s time for a 4-day week. ⏰

This shouldn’t be controversial to say - educators deserve a better work-life balance.

It’s a stressful profession in a recruitment crisis.

If we want more teachers, and we want them at their best, they need a better working week, just like everybody else.
