You might want to consider what Max Fawcett says about this before you declare that Carney was suckered by the Alberta Premier... I'd be astonished if he didn't have a better handle on this than you.

That's astonishingly concise and correct.

When did the federal government become responsible for hospitals in Ontario? I must have missed it.

Of course you're right and she's wrong: doesn't acknowledge the meaning of 'terminal'. Having the medical system pay for this child's drugs enriches the drug maker, but doesn't prevent the child from dying on schedule and well before the parents are ready.

Just a wonderful columnist in La Presse.

Mr Picard hits the nail directly on the head: how much more do critics of the BC panel (and literally everyone piled on!) expect the medical system to spend? The child will die regardless, and only the drug company will be better off.

There is only one ballot question for many of us: how are we going to deal with the Trumpist threat. We don't need costed programs to vote on that.

No surprise: Corcoran has been famous for his mapleRepublicanism since before he left the Globe for the NatPost. His byline instantly reveals the story's bias.

The Carney in this clip is the same one we saw 'interviewed' by Jon Stewart: relaxed, articulate, and humorous.

Awesome news!

I don't want to see Gunn dropped; I want to see him defeated. He represents a strong political current in the North Island and Powell River areas... But his views don't represent the majority.

Somebody cannot, or will not, read the actual polls. The Carney Liberals are rising all over western Canada!

Electorally, it's probably the political choice.

Mark Critch is proving to be a Canadian treasure.

I thought he'd hit rock bottom when he claimed "National Socialist" was socialist. But "Das Kapital" a defense of capitalism? Did he learn nothing at Queen's?

Smith should worry more about her corruption crisis than the federal government election. We already all know that most of Alberta will vote for the eventual opposition.

No way the Star learned this without Ford's people leaking it deliberately. Heightens the tension!

That guy taught and practiced psychology. This guy is passing himself off as a serious economist. Can't be thew same guy.

Who is Jordan Peterson, and why would he assume Mr Carney would want to talk to him? The number of Americans who listen to a random podcast are not much of a reason.

I expect they already had someone picked for that seat, and didn't want the challenge. I also wonder if the federal Conservatives know that the BCLiberals were really almost entirely federal Cons.
