Picked up a BBQ box from a local pitmaster tonight, running one of his small events out the back of a butcher. Can't complain about juicy Wagyu brisket, smoke bomb chicken wings and melting pulled pork (plus sides) for $35 within 20min of my front door. 😍

I made pork and chive dumplings today - wrappers and all. The wrappers are SO worth it to get that chew, and they worked perfectly!
Also, sautéed wombok (because leftover cabbage) and a spring onion pancake made of the smidgen of leftover wrapper dough.

I've just about cracked egg fried rice. Opened the container of leftovers to flash it in the wok and add peas & spring onion - smelled like good takeaway. 😆 Got some wok hei on it too.

You know, I bet that's a great way to cook a dim sim. I'm going to try that on my cast iron ridged pan next time.

I put a new drain in today, and now it's raining.
Of course I went out there at 10pm in half-laced boots with an umbrella to check things out.
I'll check the dust layer on the inside of the pipes tomorrow to see if we get enough rain to make the ag pipe flow, but there's no water pooling, so 🥳!

Drop your robovac side brush into a container of boiling water for 10sec and it will straighten out! Just done it to my used one, and the one that's been bent in storage. Genuinely as new.! (They were nowhere near as gnarled as this one thank Christ)

Lysterfield Lake. A very pretty spot. And the bush is teeming with wallabies and kangaroos - I've never got so close, or heard them thudding along so clearly. Magic.
