I think you're assuming that immigrants, documented or undocumented, are only doing low paying jobs. Immigrants also don't get forced into cheap labor like slavery. And while people certainly abuse immigrant workers, I think the people abusing them should be arrested, not immigrants.

I'm aware enough that I can't escape to a utopian one... but I'll make the most out of this one since it's the one I've got

Progressives get steamrolled all the time in Congress. We are an outnumbered bloc, especially on matters of defense. Shouldn’t be hard.

They know this isn’t “lefty” opposition. It is BROAD opposition from the American people across the board. The numbers show that. That’s why they’re pushing it.

I once heard that rounding up for charity actually collects a good amount of money because people usually wouldn't donate otherwise. Not sure how true that is, but glad to hear its not otherwise a scam.

Reject it, great, I agree. But how? You need to tell representatives something concrete. Reject Fascism is something we all agree on, but tell them how to reject it. Otherwise we'll just get more of Schumer boring is to death about how terrible it is that... I dunno whatever tf he says

Anyhow, overall, we need a concrete message. Trump and his administration will likely not listen. But the people who will need to hear something of substance other than "we're angry". They'll just associate it with being upset about the election.
