Or naiveté. It's a nice sentiment or can be an obvious red flag if you can not appropriately categorize those cues.

It's teachable. For some people it is not learnable...that is a symptom. Sarcasm is not a satisfactory form of communication. Recognition of it is mainstream. Inability to recognize some "not-so-subtle" cues in speech can indicate physical or health concerns.
