7 years ago, Hurricane Harvey tore up the east coast and damaged our house. We had 3 more derechos and 1 more Hurricane to cause more damage. We are finally finishing repairs this month.
Just in time to transition into the next Hurricane season.

When I was younger, loyalty and unyielding servitude to my elders were the most valued traits.
My niece examined my situation and asked when did I ever have a childhood if I was always in service to others. My response, I didn't.

I grew up in a backwater town. People were not the smartest. There was a family that owned a huge hotel resort. They controlled the cops, school system, and the banks in the area. People were abused by law enforcement, dumb as bricks, and broke 25/8.

I have a student that wants me to see her work in a community facility. I was going to go with my leisure arts group but she got disappointed. She thought I was previewing it solo. Nope. I never go alone. I'll bring a colleague with me or class, but never alone.

I teach leisure arts. My students sometimes share their art with each other. There is always that one student that draws stuff that is above their maturity level. It doesn't get the reaction they imagined. Other students don't degrade them, but they do move away from them.

I don't believe in full moon effects on lunatics but yesterday's shenanigans during my festival almost made me a believer.
Fanatics were proselytizing during our festival and annoying our crowd. Bands kept marching through. There was a food truck war. Somehow I kept peace and we survived.

I have worked festivals before. I had the chance to put one together this past weekend. This weekend was probably the biggest magic trick I've ever successfully pulled out of my nether regions. #Magician

Sooo...the gov rescinded those resignation letters. I remember when the 45th president decided to cut census jobs because he didn't understand enumerator jobs. Smh This guy doesn't know what he's doing, he isn't qualified.

My heart hurt seeing the resignation letter and the cutoff date for their jobs.

Yesterday my guts felt like they were trying to kill me. My folks kept inviting more and more people to the Christmas dinner. Apparently, I'm a good host...but big gatherings literally make me sick....
