Public funding for science is a small investment we all make with a huge return in higher paying jobs, healthier lives, new cures, more competitive businesses, a higher quality life, and the opportunity for a small business like ours to grow from an idea to selling products around the world. (3/3)

And much of the data we *need* to develop our products comes from publicly funded research, like the Visible Human Project funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). These are public domain data, paid for and owned by the people and for the benefit of all people. (2/3)
