Underwater Plague Marines #2 complete! 4 more to go for the Kill Team to be done! I'm having a lot of fun painting these lil guys, especially now that I have the mix for the armor texture down.
A plague marine, rusted and grime covered with a small nurgling on his face pointing the way to victory. Coral grows from his armor in spots. The cycle of life? The left-back of the plague marine. He's holding a rusted sea mine and seems to have a corpse stuck to his back. The other half of the corpse stuck to the marines leg. It looks like a man with a rebreather, who is now being used as an extension of the armor.

I've been working on this guy for a couple days now and I'm very proud of how he's come along.

I'm not a big chaos fan but I wanted to do an underwater kill team and Plague Marines seemed like a great fit for the theme. I fell in love with these sculpts and now I'm trying to do them justice!

Gannok’s Savage Stompers Wondrous item (boots), Rare (requires attunement) A pair of plated boots that are shockingly comfortable and light to the wearer, but impact with tremendous force when given momentum against an opponent. You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls when making an unarmed attack. If you move more than 15 feet in a single round, you may add an additional 1d6 damage to your next successful hit. The Savage Stompers were crafted by blacksmith Jorn Hekur, and were originally intended to be a gift to the infamous ogre monk Gannok Shincrunch. Though Gannok eventually retired, his boots are rumored to have been passed along through several owners over the years. This item will magically resize to fit their new attuned owner.

A monsterously sized man blows through a wall, knocking down two people in the process. A group of surivovrs runs away from a shadow entity that appears to be wrapped around the corpse of a man. It gives chase, the shadows pulling the corpse along through tendrils. An older woman uses a nightstick to fend off two attacks, breaking one's arm in the process. An older man sees himself, locked in a deadly encocunter with a reporter.

This week's Wild Market hopefully gives adventurers with a talent for ranged attacks some fun options for indoor and outdoor combat!

Two types of special arrows for ranged attackers to use! Arrow of Flooding A specialized arrow or bolt tipped with a small glass orb containing a vibrant blue liquid. When fired a minimum of 20 feet into the air a word of command may be spoken, causing the glass orb to shatter and release a spray of heavy rainfall down from the sky in a 20-foot-radius. This rainfall lasts for 1 minute, and is heavy enough to douse any open flames and disperse lingering fog or gas. High wind may slightly push the rain 5 to 10 feet off target (due to velocity), but will not move or adjust the position of the downpour. If this arrow is used without speaking its command word (chosen by the wielder) it will automatically shatter after traveling a distance of 100 feet. After the enchantment has been triggered the ammunition is no longer magical, even if the arrow or bolt is recoverable and fully intact. Doorjammer Bolthead An enchanted arrow or bolt tip specially designed to affix deep into wood or stone. On a successful hit against a large or smaller object, the object is affixed firmly into place. For the next 5 minutes, a DC 18 Strength (Athletics) check is required to move the object. If used against equipment or items being worn or used by a creature (such as armor, a weapon, backpack, lantern, or book) the creature’s movement speed decreases by 10 feet. After the enchantment has been used once the effect is lost and the ammunition is no longer magical, even if the arrow or bolt is recoverable and fully intact.

A depicting of Frogsong, an unusual flail made of ‘natural’ materials. The handle has been carved from wood, and is wrapped in a soft leather. A tremendous bur with protruding spikes is attached from a knotted coil of vines. A thick, viscous sap can be heard moving inside of the bur. Frogsong is a +1 weapon, and has a range of 10 feet. Despite its relatively fragile appearance, Frogsong is as durable as any enchanted steel. When attuned to Frogsong, you gain access to the following actions: Living Weapon. This is a living weapon made from natural components, heavily enchanted to reinforce its natural properties. Much like the plants it is harvested from, as Frogsong is tended to it may gain additional properties. Momentum Thief. On a successful attack an enemy size large or smaller must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or become coated in some of the sap contained within the bur. Each time a creature fails this saving throw their movement speed is reduced by 5 feet, up to a maximum of -10 feet. This effect lasts for one minute before the sap completely dries. The target may repeat this saving throw at the end of their next turn, take an action to remove the affected layer of clothing or armor, or take an action to use a solvent to wash the sap away. Sticky Snag. You may use your action to perform a melee attack against a target sized large or smaller that is coated in Frogsong’s sap (or a similar substance). On hit, the target is pulled to a location within 5 feet closer to you. Frogsong, Mature. After meeting the conditions for full mature growth, Frogsong gains the following improvements: ▶Frogsong now deals an additional 1d4 force damage ▶Frogsong’s reach increases to 15 feet ▶Momentum Thief can stack up to 3 times, for a maximum of -15 feet movement speed ▶Sticky Snag can now pull a creature or object 10 feet closer to you

The image depicts a Pulverized Marshmaw Adrenaline Gland, which appears to be a chewy braid of interenal organs laced with a homebrew of internal 'remedies'. it smells like a powerfully offensive jerkey. While this recipe stems from a marshmaws unique physiology, any organ capable of producing an excessive ammount of adrenaline will suffice. When fully consumed, you gain the following beenfitst for 10 minutes: Advantage of Wisdom (Perception) and Intelligence (Investigation) checks. +5 to movement speed +1 to hit and damage on melee attacks 1 additional reaction during combat. Once the effects of the adrenaline has expired, you gain 1 point of exhaustion.

Had a wonderful day exploring Toronto with a friend. Cas was supposed to be with us to celebrate our friend's birthday, but they've been really sick and had to sit this one out.

I was bummed, but tried to just enjoy the day. Had ramen, saw the Stardew concert, got bubble tea, and did some shopping.
My friend and I at Baroness, a very tasty bubble tea shop with lots of oat milk options. Tonketsu black garlic ramen, complete with two eggs. Delicious! Our seats from the Stardew concert, showing the large viewing screen and musicians directly below. The orchestra was fantastic. I've never played Stardew before but the music is fairly timeless from watching friends play. A bunch of sleepy dittos on a shelf. I just liked how many there are, all lined up together.

My big project this past week has been WALLS. I don't have an airbrush, so it's all dry brushing each block.

It's slow work, but it's coming along well! Its going to make for some epic future battles. Enjoy some random minis in there for scale!
A very long castle wall, that's actually five different wall sections put together. The sections are modular. Three d&d minis are beside the wall for scale. A werewolf, a merchant, and a barbarian lady walk nearby a wall. I'm not sure what the joke is, but you can see more texture painted on the wall from this angle!

I finished painting up and basing my thunderkyn! These guys have been the star of my Votann army for a while now, so I'm happy to have them all looking fancy and nice.

I do miss spending time taking nicer photos. I should take some time with my lightbox again soon.

Tonight's Teldramir session saw players fighting a weird magic hunting monster in an underground mine. Then they found a dimension filled with geometric crystals and floating squares of earth.

Most of the battlefield didn't get traversed, but I'm very proud of it.

The past few weeks we had the pleasure of hosting doves, as they found our little flower pot to be a very suitable home.

We got to watch these parents raise two lovely kids. The nest is empty now. I will miss them a lot. They were a good reminder that the world can be kind and beautiful too.
