Mindless hatred with absolutely 0 nuance whatsoever.

Youre actively chosing to be miserable and fear the worst here. AI, as a concept in technology, is not bad. Generative AI, trained on unauthorized material, is whats bad.

Like what? At first I thought maybe the finger tracking would be removed but thats still there, so what's left besides specific inputs that can likely just be remapped to buttons (as they pretty much always can be given idk any games that *require* an index)

*what would make a ps5 buying ovet this?

Jesus, the hell happened there?
November 12, 2025 at 10:53 PM
Valve can also do that? Like, whats stopping them?

Sure its probably not gonna be instant, but i imagine eventually itll at least hit tech stores like best buy
November 12, 2025 at 10:52 PM
....the "view image" button, captain....

Thats what people got pissed abt: the fact google removed the option to just open the raw image.
November 12, 2025 at 10:44 PM
Youre embarrassing yourself atp
November 12, 2025 at 10:43 PM

November 12, 2025 at 10:32 PM
Why even bother with the ai at that point????
November 12, 2025 at 10:31 PM
Yeah, it wasnt a big deal or anythinf, but i dont remember anyone ever caring abt google linking to the site. Hell, it quite literally always did that, having a button is a non starter at worst.

Genuinely dont know what CD is talking abt
November 12, 2025 at 10:29 PM
Literally why???
November 12, 2025 at 10:25 PM
Nobody here knows whats in the contracts, why choose to argue in bad faith?

Like, im pretty sure this is just a more involved ver. of what happened with JEJ and vader in fortnite
November 12, 2025 at 10:22 PM
No.

"We actually understand that VR is for video games"
November 12, 2025 at 10:17 PM
I thought the controversy had to do with google making it so you had to open the site to actually get the image.
November 12, 2025 at 10:15 PM
Ok but if the steamcube is comparable in price, what would really make getting a ps5 worth buying over this? Especially when most sony games eventually make it over.

Nintendo isnt going anywhere, tho, thats obvious

My ~5 year old laptop was ~$700 brand new and it was good enough for low level vr (not *great*, but playable enough to plink in h3). Im kinda imagining this is going to fall in the same ballpark (just with newer tech)
November 12, 2025 at 9:45 PM
Only kinda, they have options for artists to upload really short bits of video that fill the screen vertically (usually only to advertise the newest release). This would be for full, unedited music vids
November 12, 2025 at 9:41 PM
*track
November 12, 2025 at 9:38 PM
Yeah, and tbh, if an actor is openly willing to have their voice be made into an ai model, why should we care?

Like, the issue with ai is how it takes away from actual actors, but when the actor is making money off the ai of their self.
