The legislature in this state is an absolute joke. When the gerrymandering didn’t work the second time, they just rewrite the rules and roles. That’s not what I voted for. Sad.

Welcome to NC where you pay someone to flip for a supermajority. Lose that supermajority, throw a fit bc gerrymandering didn’t work and change what roles do what.

As I am finally getting to read “On Tyranny” by Timothy Snyder. I only made it to the 2nd lesson and realize we have so many who just did not learn from history. If this doesn’t sound like current media, I don’t know what does.

Congrats! His voters really showed us! If only people tried to tell you beforehand, right? RIGHT?!
This will mean higher gas prices, higher alcohol prices, higher food prices, higher building prices, higher car prices, higher pharmaceutical prices, etc. Trump is about to teach Americans who *actually* pays for tariffs (the consumers do).

This is infuriating. Stripped more gov powers. He was voted in FOR those powers…not the auditor or anyone else. Helene Recovery = $0…vouchers for their buddies = >$400 million. $ to help necessary childcare programs? $33.75 million. It’s about their friends, not the children or those hurt in Helene.
The new "Helene recovery" bill Republicans are passing this week in the NC legislature spends $0 new dollars on Western North Carolina.

When you go through major changes, you can never tell when one thing may hit you and bring back emotions you thought were gone.

Got up early this morning to watch my Panthers play in Munich. In general, this has been a hard week to understand and it’s been disappointing.
I guess what I’m saying is, with as disappointed as I already am, I’m mentally prepared to be embarrassed on global scale again. 😂

New to this but here’s me…I’m an advocate for early childhood ed, work to foster resilience in teachers, children and my community. I believe everyone is deserving of care and kindness.
