My sister and her husband (both trump-voting republicans, but not "MAGA") went to NYC for the first time last year and came back amazed at how clean and safe the subway is. They had all been prepped by FOX propaganda for filth and crime. Nope.

For those non NYers: it is not dangerous to ride the subway. It is the best and fastest way to get around the city. Millions of people ride daily, the vast majority without any incident. Are there incidents, yes, the ones that make the news. Keep them in context of the number of people riding.

The US has the hardest working poor people in the world.
The government failed the people and ripped up the social contract without telling us.
