We tried mass tariffs in 1828, and it crashed the economy. We tried again in 1930, and it crashed the economy.

Third time’s the charm, I guess.

Donald Trump has committed the most profound, harmful and unnecessary economic error in the modern era. Almost everything he said—on history, economics and the technicalities of trade—was utterly deluded econ.st/3YbbFjq

Kind of hilarious that Poilievre was calling out Singh for his pension when his is 3 times the size. Here's a quick reminder of who Poilievre really is from @22-minutes.bsky.social

Been hearing some folks pining for the Harper years. Figured folks could use a refresh on the highlights of Canada's Harper era. Especially considering Poilievre played a key part in Harper's government and has been endorsed by the former PM. Part 1.

Part 2 of my series to remind us of the last time the Conservatives were in power. Millions of taxpayer dollars were spent promoting the tar sands but not disclosed. Were they worried taxpayers might not think the multi-billion dollar fossil fuel industry needs us to pay for their PR?

Part 3 of the Harper years series. The Conservative government muzzled the brightest minds. Often delaying responses to journalists until deadlines expired or rewording the science to fit their agenda.

The Harper years part 4. The Conservatives have always been afraid of Justin. Their tactics have just evolved from staged in person protests to social media propaganda.

The Harper Years part 6. Hard to keep track of the scandals but today we have the senate expense scandal. Nothing says above board like audits, resignations, suspensions, criminal charges, and a secret payment from the PM's chief of staff out of his own pocket.

The Harper Years part 7. On the home stretch. Journalists were put on a question quota. The PM would answer a grand total of 5 questions per day making it almost impossible to ask follow up questions. Why was he so scared to speak?

The Harper Years part 8. The math was a little off on this one. Maybe humility is why the Harper government wanted to keep the size of their donation of taxpayer dollars to Lockheed Martin on the down low?

Harper Years part 9. A massive national disinformation campaign targeted Liberal voters in 80% of all ridings. The Conservatives denied responsibility and tried to blame the Liberal party and Elections Canada. Only a lone junior Conservative staffer faced criminal charges.

Shopify... the corp giving Anaida Poilievre office space.

Cause she just couldn't find a spot in that mansion taxpayers pay for, I guess.

Don't use Shopify.

Please don't forget that #DougFord is currently under RCMP investigation, because the #OPP admitted to a "conflict of interest" if they did.

Doug Ford is a criminal. He's *always* been a criminal.

Doug Ford commercial in heavy rotation tonight, jabbers about “when Ottawa descended into chaos, he stood up, stepped up for us.” I beg your pardon? The closest Ottawa came to chaos was during the chud convoy and I distinctly remember Ford was nowhere to be found. He went snowmobiling.
