"Political violence is the norm for the Black experience in this country. It just is." - Ta-Nehisi Coates

If you think political violence starts and ends with rich, powerful white people, you have NOT been paying attention in the slightest. #blacksky

all i want is to one day own a modest sized home in a walkable neighborhood and raise money for shelter animals. wear an outfit i like, walk to the grocery store, buy some nectarines, feed cats, and live in peace. just don't understand why achieving this is so hard

If the president pisses on the Constitution and dares you to flinch, impeachment isn’t a debate. It’s a duty. Tyrants don’t stop. You remove them—before they finish the job.

Mark this for the history books: “We’re talking about the president exercising his authority, and the president is of course limited to his authority. That’s the difference between a constitutional government and King George,” said Judge Charles Breyer.

Art is political. Kendrick Lamar and Beyoncé have consistently been aligned in that sentiment. Their use of live performances are meant to make you think.

Both had critiques about America’s attempt to erase Black Americans’ contributions to the country. Employing Black Americana is a great choice.
