The dream of America was never meant to be static - it was meant to grow. And together, we will keep pushing forward.

Today, as we celebrate the 4th of July, we are reminded that we have a choice: to focus on the America we believe in and fight for it, or to surrender to cynicism.

Let us choose the path of action, compassion, and solidarity.

Ours is a diverse and complicated nation. And yet, our shared hope for progress, justice, and dignity for all remains unshaken.

As Democrats, we know that patriotism is not blind allegiance - it is the choice to build a better country.

But we also recognize that the struggle for freedom and equality is far from finished.

In this moment of national uncertainty - where rights are under threat, division runs deep, and many feel left behind - we are called not to despair, but to recommit.

The stakes are real.

Juneteenth reminds us that Black freedom was delayed but never denied. Pride began as a fight — led by queer & trans people of color — against systemic violence.

Freedom has always been demanded, never simply granted.
