I had this with ET. A copy did the rounds at my mum and dad’s local. They hyped it right up in advance and it was totally unwatchable.

I occasionally send her estimates of how much they would be worth. That’s irrelevant though. I was livid on the day. My rancor. My rebel troop carrier. My Jabba-on-his-plinth.

In 1988 my mum decided that we didn’t play with our massive collection of Star Wars toys enough and just … GAVE THEM AWAY to save space. My Millenium Falcon. My X-Wing. My Snow Speeder. My AT-ST. My Ewok glider. My exploding rebel canon from Hoth. Dozens of figures. Still furious.

I can only speak for myself. But I do, indeed, know Birdhouse In Your Soul. Obviously I do. Although I don't think that proves anything.
