I do think I have a prophetic vision about the earth but who’s going to listen to a clown…..
Saturday morning when I was a kiddie and in this order:

The Adventure Game
Multi-Coloured Swap Shop
Top Cat
Space 1999 (quick switch to ITV for this one)

One of my greatest disappointments in life remains the fact that I am unable to get up a ladder like this.

I used to live in Hatfield and would regularly head up to the Downs. And Whipsnade Zoo, of course.
As you might know, it's smashing up there!

It's just another dull day in Dunstable..............

IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!

Can't think of a better way to celebrate the "8th Wonder of the World" that is The Chilterns than parking a ruddy big Double Decker chocolate bus next to a fridge magnet that celebrates all things Chiltern.

Although, personally, I'd lose the "one for you".
"one for me" stays.

The pastime of sleeve-dipping.
Dip the sleeve of your shirt in a well where brides pass or in a burn at a point where the lands owned by three separate owners meet.
Hang that shirt by a fire and during the night, your future spouse will appear and turn it so it dries on both sides.

He who can hold a skunk in the palm of their hand can carry the love of the world on their shoulders......or some sort of shit like that.

That's OK, Mr Davie, we don't need your resignation, just the money.
November 11, 2025 at 10:29 PM
It's OK, we'll just leave it like this and I'll forever have nightmares, chronic OCD and a nervous twitch.

Good to see that Amazon take every care and attention when packaging their ferrets prior to shipment.

OK, BBC Point of View didn't use my short review of Once Upon a Time in Space which they'd asked me to send them (which is fine, by the way and I'd say, rightly so!) but here it is anyway.
The main message is......it's a terrific programme and well worth seeing if you haven't already.
On BBC2 now.

The tomb of Sir Robert Foulshurst resides in the Crewe Chapel at St Bertoline's in Barthomley.
He fought with the Black Prince in his successful campaigns against the French in the Hundred Years War and died in 1389.

It's Monday again and Larry and I are quite miffed about it.

Gone Fishing is built around the simplest premise but often, when you strip things right back and uncomplicate them, they turn out to be the most rewarding and enjoyable: two friends chatting and doing a spot of fishing in some glorious countryside.

Forgive me, I'm trying to remember which one is which here but I'm pretty sure it's:

Law, Charlton and Best

Is that right?

In spite of me providing a lovely little cat igloo for him, being a ferel cat (not "freelance", as corrected by my phone, although, in a way, he his 😊), Beano insists on sitting in a cardboard box while he waits for his breakfast.

The brilliant PJ Harvey on Top of the Pops.
Was great to see her playing Glastonbury last year.

Aside from wonderful fridge magnets, @jodrellbank.bsky.social offers music festivals, art and literature events (I was lucky to attend a brilliant one last year celebrating the work of Alan Garner), science talks and of course, the most magnificent Meccano set, the Lovell telescope.

Those of you here who know me as more than a harmless red panda obsessive will know of my love for @jodrellbank.

No better way to celebrate their 80th anniversary than a special edition #FridgeMagnetFriday with FOUR magnets in planetary alignment with a StarBar.
