Bit left wing but mostly play through the middle
I think at the heart of it is this, we are going to find out just how good slot is or isn't.

Fair. But the rest is more easily fixed I think

Oh, there's things that need fixing but I think the quality is there.

I'd be more concerned if I was looking at a squad and the quality wasnt there

I'm still genuinely of the belief we are playing well within ourselves and it can be solved. I still think when we get it right we'll be frightening

I think we have a team whose instincts are to press but we're trying to play like champions and control games from a deeper position so the outcome is we're caught somewhere in between.

I'd like to see us play the rest of the season as if we're underdogs and just commit to pressing aggressively

In a shootout, every penalty after the 5th should go back a yard

We should have played like we were at home yesterday. Until we've figured out how to control games, just embrace the chaos like Klopp's early teams did

I don't think it's a must win, but there's a statement win to be had and a loss/draw might just allow arsenal to settle in at the top of the table

They should also have some deliverable elements.

These are the types of standards politicians hold the civil service to

I'm kind of on board with this. I dont think they can be legally binding because circumstances change but the govt should have to report against its manifesto just as a business does against a business plan.

I'm never quite sure how much credit to give the keeper for positioning when that happens
November 5, 2025 at 8:27 AM
The availability issue is why I thought it would never happen. I thought we would have learned from sturridge, ox, Keita and Thiago.

I'd almost prefer a draw where we control the game. That would bode better for the future
November 1, 2025 at 7:48 PM
I'm desperate for a controlled 2-0 here
November 1, 2025 at 7:45 PM
You just don't want premier league teams feeling comfortable or confident when they play you.
November 1, 2025 at 12:59 PM
There's perhaps some nuance in that if we're a little more ruthless, teams get a bit more nervous and don't push as hard
