New Year is much colder than yesterday. Taking stock of my pantry and freezer, deliberately doing things that I enjoy - with no guilt. Getting ready for a rocky political year and doing my best to insulate my loved ones from any negative impacts. My mantra the next 4 years: Protect your peace.

I am fed up with Congress repeatedly failing to do their damn job and come up with a balanced, workable federal budget.
An easy fix would be a law that the current budget stays in place and automatically renews every month until a new one is approved and put in its place.
Boom! No more shutdowns.
