I disagree: I worked for the Goldwater campaign in ‘64…many were (as now) absolutely certain they did understand, but they were wrong. They’re still wrong, they don’t care, they’re in it to incite

How long should Dems have let the shutdown go on so that you, personally, would be convinced it was pointless to continue?
If Thanksgiving came & went w workers unpaid, SNAP exhausted, air travel chaos, would you have been convinced? Christmas?
