For #MushroomMonday #fungifriends I’m still seeing plenty of winter #fungi in the woods at work, at least something is enjoying the rain! White Brain, Yellow Brain, Black Witches Butter, Turkey Tail, fresh Velvet Shanks & beautiful vibrant Scarlet Elfcups are always a joy to see! ❤️

I came across this today, a quite distinctive mushroom, with an elegant shape, sheltered in scrubby grassland.

I think it may be The Goblet, Pseudoclitocybe cyathiformis.

With one fledged Ringed Plover over the last 6 years on that breeding site, it will need all the luck that it can get. Conversely, the management strategy could drop conserving breeding Carrion Crow and start actively conserving Ringed Plovers by removing the Crows.

Every job has its responsibilities, some bigger than others.

Picture this: you're driving a custom built 36-wheeled truck with 142 tonnes of solid rocket fuel, aka explosive rocket propellant, as cargo.

How would you feel? 😰

40 yrs ago today, the #Challenger space shuttle exploded about 1 min after takeoff.

I remember our 5th grade class joined another class to watch the news about the explosion on a TV that one of the teachers wheeled in.

This time last year @AspectForestry clear felled 2ha for long overdue heathland restoration at Sutton Heath, and made a fine job of it to. Will @EastSuffolk fulfil their moral obligation and have a further 2ha felled to bring the site into favourable condition?

Not to agitate my North American friends, but it's currently 7°C (45°F) here in Reykjavík and hasn't snowed all month. I haven't worn my big winter coat in a week.

Our local mountain, Esjan, basically has no snow. Pic from earlier this month; less snow now!

Dear Donald,
sometimes it's climate change rather than climate warming, either way, the USA will be as vulnerable as any other country. Your Golden Dome and any other kind of dome will offer no protection at all. Really sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
