You're making great progress John, the next stage has great views from Coombe Hill, up to Steps Hill and along the escarpment to Ivinghoe Beacon @theridgewaynt.bsky.social
Yesterday's 20 mile walk along #TheRidgeway from Wallingford to Princes Risborough. Not my favourite stage as a little short on great views. However, on my 360 mile #GreatChalkWayIn25 challenge I am now in Buckinghamshire and over half way to the North Norfolk Coast! Next stage to Ivinghoe Beacon

Congratulations to the first Ridgeway 50 Photo’s young winner Aleksander, with photographer Matt Writtle at the Swire Ridgeway Arts Festival today.
We are hoping to see many more talented young artists be inspired by the landscape along our Ridgeway National Trail.

Thank you @richardbenwell.bsky.social your thread unpicks the potentially scary technical elements and signposts to the positives. We must hold the Govt to account and see the benefits for nature in this #PlanningBill
We want to see the #PlanningBill work harder for nature.
🦉all planning decisions must be in line with nature & climate targets.
🦉more nature sites & irreplaceable habitats should be legally protected.
🦉development should be "wilder by design" with new Building Regs for wildlife.

Late afternoon and early evening on Wittenham Clumps. Brightwell Barrow and the Chilterns beyond. Lights of Didcot and Harwell twinkle beneath sunset glow while I listen to Tawny Owls calling in the wood.
